examine a car suspected of containing an explosive device inside the
Northwest Gate of the White House, July 12, 2001. A bomb-sniffing dog
falsely alerted the United States Secret Service during a routine check
of a visiting vehicle that a bomb may be in the car. Parts of the White
House were evacuated during the examination of the vehicle.
