U.S. President George W. Bush makes a statement to the press with
cabinet memebers; Secretary of Labor Elaine Cho (R), Secretary of
Agriculture Ann Veneman (2nd R) and Secretary of Transportation Norman
Mineta on the South Grounds of the White House in Washington, October
8, 2002. President Bush said he will seek a court order to end a
lockout at 29 U.S. West Coast ports that the president said costs the
economy $1 billion a day and imperils the national health and safety.
