A field of sunflowers in Campillo village near Malaga, southern Spain July 1, 2004. The sunflowers originally comes from America, where it started to be cultivated three thousands years ago in Mexico. In Spain, it began to be cultivated first in Andalucia in 1963. Spain is the country that has more cultivated land of sunflowers in the European Comunity. At the begining of summer the Andalusian fields are covered by sunflowers plants which beautify these lands.
