Visitors stand in early morning mist while witnessing the return of sockeye salmon to the Adams River outside of Chase, British Columbia northeast of Vancouver October 11, 2006. Every year the sockeye travel some 405 km (252 miles) from the Pacific through inland waters to the Adams River.
