Irish EUFOR troops aim their weapons during a patrol in eastern Chad
Irish troops from the European Union Force (EUFOR) aim their weapons during a patrol near Djabal refugee camp, the morning after heavy fighting in the eastern Chadian town of Gos Beida June 15, 2008. Irish EU troops patrolled eastern Chad's Goz-Beida town and nearby refugee camps on Sunday after insurgents attacked the town in their latest offensive against Chadian President Idriss Deby. Irish troops protecting refugee camps as part of the European Union's EUFOR mission in eastern Chad came under RPG fire during Saturday's fighting, and returned "warning fire" against their unidentified attackers.
