Chilean riot police stand guard in front of the presidential palace in Santiago, January 8, 2001. Hundreds of protesters marched to the palace demanding the arrest of former Chilean leader Augusto Pinochet. Pinochet is now willing to attend an interrogation rescheduled for January 15 over alleged human rights abuses during his 1973-1990 rule. Judge Juan Guzman had originally planned to question Pinochet on January 9.
