-PHOTO TAKEN 10FEB02- A baby chimpanzee in a quarantine cage at the Tacugama chimps sanctuary in Sierra Leone, which since 1995 has rescued dozens of animals from the pet trade, bushmeat hunters and a decade-long civil war. New arrivals are kept in quarantine for a few months to avoid the spreading of any infectious disease they might have caught from humans. The chimps are then released in a 10-acre forest reserve where they live in a semi-free environment. Picture taken on February 10, 2002.
