A Chinese protester hurls a bottle of water towards the Japanese Consulate as anti-riot police keep guard during a demonstration in Shanghai April 16, 2005. Anti-Japanese protests in Shanghai turned violent on Saturday when some 10,000 Chinese protesters began hurling rocks and bottles at Japanese restaurants and burning Japan's national emblem.
