A PERFORMER HOLDS CHILD ABOVE HIS HEAD IN BEIJING.
A Chinese child is suspended above a performer's head on an iron rod prior to a performance at a temple fair in Beijing Febuary 15. During the seven day Chinese Nlunar New Year holiday, merrymakers travel in droves to temple fairs to enjoy special performances, shop for gifts and eat holiday snacks. According to ancient Chinese astrology, February 16 will mark the end of the year of the tiger and usher in the year of the rabbit.
