The Hong Kong Alliance group in support of the Patriotic Democratic Movements leave roses in front of the China liaison office in Hong Kong May 12, 2009. The group demanded the Chinese government investigate what they say is the shoddy construction of the schools that collapsed in the earthquake. The Chinese government recently sought to end public disquiet about thousands of children killed in the quake, issuing official fatality numbers and vows of safer schools. Last week, a Sichuan official said 5,335 school students died in the quake, lower than many critics have claimed. REUTERS/Tyrone Siu (CHINA POLITICS CONFLICT ANNIVERSARY DISASTER SOCIETY)
