Chinese actor Zhang Li and his on-stage wife Ma Xiaoqing rehearse May 18 for "Man with Two Wives," a Taiwan comedy to be shown in Beijing from Tuesday as part of growing cultural exchanges between political rivals China and Taiwan. In the play directed by Ting Nai-cheng, Zhang is shocked and screams when he sees his picture and news about his marriage to two women in the front page of a newspaper. When his wife asks him why he screamed, Zhang lies and says U.S. President Bill Clinton is dead, but his wife wants to read the paper. Anti-U.S. fury has erupted across China after the NATO bombing of Beijing's embassy in Belgrade.
