2002. China aims to lure 90 million overseas visitors into the country
to spend $18.5 billion this year, the official Xinhua News Agency
reported. Chinese government has urged the tourist industry to enhance
the image of the mainland as the safest tourist destination in the
world and to cultivate the world's interest in China's accession to the
