A four-month-old South China tiger cub looks out of a cage at Shanghai Zoo moments after he was separated from his brothers to be transferred to Luoyang Zoo in central China's Henan province, June 15, 2004. The South China tiger, also known as the Amoy Tiger (Panthera tigris amoyensis), is the among the most endangered animals in the world. The South China tiger cubs are the result of the "South China Tiger Breeding Pact" involving 14 zoos in the country aimed at helping save the species from the brink of extinction.
