Promoters have booked 159 bands, including 38 major national and international acts, in a bid to lure some 1.5 million fans from Brazil and abroad. [The anniversary show will kick-off January 12 with such diverse acts as R.E.M., Britney Spears, Neil Young, Sting, 'N Sync and James Taylor. The first Rock in Rio in 1985 was the biggest paying music festival in history with 1.38 million people; much more than the 450,000 that attended Woodstock in 1969. Ticket prices will range from $18 per day or $126 for the entire week.]
