US President Bill Clinton hugs his puppy Buddy December 31 after their morning walk on the beach at Hilton Head, South Carolina. The President will attend the "Renaissance Weekend", a family get-together. The first family will travel to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands on New Year's Day for three more days of vacation at a private home, before returning to Washington on January 4, 1998.
