AIRFORCE OFFICERS WITH SOUVENIR PIECES OF DESTROYED MISSILE SILO.
U.S. Airforce officers hold souvenir pieces of concrete from a
destroyed Minuteman III missile silo in the countryside of North Dakota
August 24, 2001. The site known as 'Hotel-22' was the 149th and last
silo to be dismantled and imploded under the Strategic Arms Reduction
Treaty I signed by then U. S. President George Bush and Soviet
President Mikhail Gorbachev in July of 1991.
