Swiss Rolin Wavre (L) head of the mission in Colombia of the ICRC, talks to some displaced people outside the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Bogota, January 5. About one hundred internal refugees stormed the ICRC Wednesday building to press for a solution to their social and economic demands. Around of 1.2 million people have been displaced in Colombia during the last 10 years amid fighting between leftist guerrillas and paramilitary death squads. The ICRC announced it was suspending all operations in Colombia after the mob stormed its offices.
