Retired Croatian army general Mirko Norac, who became the highest ranking military war crimes suspect to date, parades prior to a traditional knightly game, in August 2000, in his native southern Croatia. A county court issued an arrest warrant for Norac, suspected of involvement in 1991 killings of Serb civilians, after he failed to hand himself over for investigation.
