Palczynski, ending an armed standoff with no injuries to three hostages who had been held for four days, authorities said March 21. Two of the three hostages held by Palczynski, Lynn Whitehead and Andy McCord escaped through the window located at lower right, and police tactical squad members entered the windows on the left and shot Palcyznski, ending the hostage situation that began last Friday.
