Cuban workers continue building up a permanent open tribune in front of the U.S. Interests Section in Havana City, January 17. Cuba's President Fidel Castro has launched a campaign of nationalistic demonstrations to demand the return from the United States of Cuban shipwreck boy Elian Gonzalez. Elian has been in Florida since November 25 when he was picked up at sea by U.S. fishermen after surviving the capsize of a boat full of illegal Cuban migrants.
