A U.S. judge on Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit filed by the Miami relatives of Elian Gonzalez, a key step toward sending the 6-year-old Cuban shipwreck survivor back to his father in Cuba. U.S. District Judge Michael Moore ruled that he had jurisdiction in the lawsuit and that the family had standing to file the lawsuit, but dismissed the suit on the merits of the claims, a court official said.
