Women look at the 'Boudicca' cruise ship as it enters Havana city port
Women look at the 'Boudicca' cruise ship as it enters Havana city port February 8, 2012. The 50th anniversary of the U.S. trade embargo against Cuba was met with little fanfare on the island, where most Cubans said it was a failed policy that had succeeded only in making their lives more difficult. The U.S. embargo, in place since 1962 with the aim of destabilizing the island's Communist government, forbids U.S. companies in most industries from doing business with Cuba and also forbids ships that have sailed to Cuba from entering U.S. waters for six months. The ship is operated by the Norwegian-owned Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. REUTERS/Desmond Boylan (CUBA - Tags: MARITIME TRANSPORT BUSINESS TRAVEL SOCIETY)
