Relative of one of 12 ethnic German farmers lights a candle during a memorial service in Jihlava
A relative of one of 12 ethnic German farmers lights a candle during a memorial service in Jihlava September 15, 2012. The remain of the farmers were found in a burial pit uncovered in August 2010 in the central Czech village of Dobronin. It is believed that these farmers, who had been detained after the Second World War, were killed by Czechs in retaliation for Germany's role in the war.
