A detail shows disciples of part of Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" restored masterpiece May 27 which was finally unveiled amid a storm of controversy after 20 years of peeling and polishing. The work completed by Da Vinci in 1497 on a refectory wall of the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie depicts Jesus Christ seated with his twelve disciples at their last meal before his crucifixon.
