A nun tends to Joaquin Areas, a 65-year-old leprosy affected man, at the isolated village of Nigua in the Leprocomio (Leprosys hospital), south of Santo Domingo July 9, 2012. More than 300 lepers and recovered lepers live, with the government's support, in the isolated village founded by Catholic nuns 90 years ago.
