Domingo Puello, a 71-year-old leprosy affected man, sits in a wheelchair at the isolated village of Nigua in the Leprocomio (Leprosy hospital), south of Santo Domingo July 9, 2012. More than 300 lepers and recovered lepers live, with the government's support, in the isolated village founded by Catholic nuns 90 years ago.
