Veterinarian Oh Soon Hock sticks acupuncture needles into a leg of Tirto, an eight-year-old male Komodo dragon, as it undergoes traditional Chinese acupuncture treatment at the Singapore Zoological Gardens September 2, 2003. Tirto, weighing 42 kg (92 pounds) and measuring 2.3 metres (7.5 feet) long had been having problems eating and walking. The zoo initially tried steroid treatment, but has now turned to the traditional Chinese acupuncture for treatment of the problem.
