GOVERNOR PATAKI BUYS VALENTINES DAY FLOWERS IN NEW YORK.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (L) and New York Governor Pataki (C)
purchase flowers as Valentines Day presents for their daughters at a
downtown florist in New York, February 14, 2002. The florist shop, visited
by Bloomberg, Pataki and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Mel
Martinez, was the first business to receive funds from the $700 million
grant released by HUD to help affected businesses near ground zero recover
from damages and lost revenues since the September attacks. The $700 million
grant is the largest ever given by HUD. Shop owner Len Kaufman and his wife
Sharon are to Pataki's left. REUTERS/Brad Rickerby
