Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin is applauded by President Clinton after brief remarks during a ceremony in the Rose Garden of the White House May 12 where it was announced that Rubin will leave the administration sometime in July. Deputy Secretary of Treasury Larry Summers will be nominated by Clinton to replace Rubin.
