A view of the Sun Temple at the Incan ruins of Ingapirca in southern Ecuador March 8, 2011. Originally built as an inn for Incan couriers and travelers, Ingapirca was later fortified under the control of Emperor Huayna Capac to lodge troops and following that, the emperor himself. The site is located in the southern Canar Province and stands as one of the most important Incan ruins in the country. Picture taken March 8, 2011.
