Nahed, or "Um Rania", 52, drives her minibus at a station in Cairo
Nahed, or "Um Rania", 52, drives her minibus at a station in Cairo's Al Moqattam district March 4, 2014. Nahed, a widow whose husband died 21 years ago, bought a minibus and learned to drive after her street vending business failed. A supporter of Army Chief Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, she hopes the government can return stability to the country without any further violence. On March 8 activists around the globe celebrate International Women's Day, which dates back to the beginning of the 20th Century and has been observed by the United Nations since 1975. The UN writes that it is an occasion to commemorate achievements in women's rights and to call for further change. Picture taken March 4, 2014.
