A man walks past a graffiti reading "Salute and Honour, Jon" and an ETA symbol in the Basque town of Gernika March 14, 2010. A judicial inquiry has opened in France following the identification of the body of a missing member of Basque separatist group ETA, the public prosecutor of the southern French city Bayonne said on Friday. Jon Anza, who served 20 years in prison from 1982 to 2002 for ETA-related crimes, disappeared in April 2009 after taking a train from Bayonne to Toulouse. Basque nationalists accuse the Spanish government of having caused Anza's death during a secret operation, an accusation denied by Madrid.
