Mount Etna, Europe's tallest and most active volcano, spews out fresh lava October 30 in the latest and most spectacular phase of an intermittent eruption that has been going on for months. Four new lava flows and explosive activity which lit up the Sicilian night sky, did not pose any threat to residents on the volcanos lower slopes according to civil protection officials.
