EXPERIENCE MUSIC PROJECT SCHEDULED TO OPEN JUNE 23 IN SEATTLE.
Construction workers continue work on the Experience Music Project (EMP) at the Seattle Center in Seattle, March 16. The EMP, which is sponsored almost entirely by Microsoft co-founder billionaire Paul Allen, is touted as a high-tech, interactive museum which pays tribute to popular American music such as jazz, blues, hip-hop, punk rock and grunge. After three years of planning and development, the odd shaped, stainless steel-skinned structure located on lower Queen Anne Hill was designed by architect Frank O. Gehry. apb/Photo by Anthony P.
