FEATURE COLOMBIA.
TO MATCH WITH STORY BC-AUTOS COLOMBIA-WILLYS - Colombian Luis Carlos Rincon drives his Jeep CJ-5 rebuilt for off-road use through a sand quarry just north of Bogota. U.S.-made Willys and early Jeeps have long been a workhorse in the Colombian countryside, carting plantains, coffee and yucca and more recently has been embraced by Bogota's middle-classes who use their no-frills Willys to go to their weekend homes in the country and hopefully avoid the threat of kidnap by warring Marxist rebels. Picture taken 15APR00.
