FOR RELEASE WITH FEATURE BC-SCIENCE-ISRAEL-CACTUS - Professor Yosef Mizrahi bites into a Mexican Nopalitos cactus leaf in a desert agriculture greenhouse of the Ben-Gurion Universiy of the Negev in Israel's southern town of Beersheba. Mizrahi says "Let them eat cactus" and has collected dozens of wild fruit-bearing cactus plants and desert trees which indigenous people have been eating for thousands of years and he is now domesticating as new cash crops for the Jewish state's arid areas.
