Fiji coup leader George Speight is surrounded by the media outside the parliament complex in Suva July 9 where he announced that an agreement would be signed later tonight with the military to end a 53 day hostage crisis. Speight and his band of rebels stormed Parliament May 19, taking deposed Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry and other members of parliament hostage.
