CONFERENCE.
File photo New York Stock Exchange Chairman Richard Grasso is seen at a
press conference on June 5, 2003. The top regulator of U.S. stock
markets is pressing the NYSE for "full and complete" details on how it
determines the pay package of chairman Grasso, who recently took home
nearly $140 million in accrued savings, benefits and incentives.
Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman William Donaldson said
approval of Grasso's pay package "raises serious questions regarding
the effectiveness of the NYSE's current governance structure."
