The chared remains of an apartment on the 19th floor of a luxury high-rise apartment building on New York's upper west side December 23, following a 4 alarm blaze that killed four people. The fire apparently burned the apartment owned by the family of teen-age movie star Macaulay Caulkin. The four people who died in the blaze from smoke inhalation were discovered by firefighters in stairwells on the 27th and 29th floors.
