Egypt, hard hit by the more deadly H5N1 bird flu virus, detected its first H1N1, formerly known as swine flu, case early this month in a 12-year-old American girl who arrived for a holiday in the most populous Arab country. To date, another 3 cases have tested positive on Monday and so bringing the total number of cases of H1N1 being reported in the country to 23.
