Striking EuroDisney theme park staff demonstrate outside the gates of the Magic Kingdom early 23 December. In the first call for a general strike in the park's seven-year history, several hundred unionists and workers, representing only a small percentage of the Disneyland Paris work force attempted to picket the park over millennium pay awards. The EuroDisney park was meanwhile open for business as usual.
