ACTIVISTS DESTROY TEST SITE FOR GENETICALLY MODIFIED MAIZE IN
Some of the 150 activists from the left-wing Confederation Paysanne,
ATTAC, and the green party destroy a test site for genetically modified
maize in southwestern France in Mauvezin, August 28, 2001. This is the
sixth intervention by activists of GM crop destruction in France since
late June when the Farm Ministry was forced to publish the list of
districts where genetically engineered plants were being tested.
