ALGERIAN DEMONSTRATORS HOLD A BANNER IN PARIS.
Algerian from the Kabylie region hold a banner reading " stop the repression" during a demonstration in Paris June 17, 2001. The demonstration was organised to protest against a police crackdown of riots in Kabylie that left at least 50 people dead, shot by police forces. Riots in Kabylie were sparked by the death of a teenager in police custody on April 18 and made at least 50 victims.
