PARISIAN PROSTITUTE DEMONSTRATES AGAINST PROPOSED SECURITY BILL.
A Parisian prostitute, wearing a mask so as not to be identified,
demonstrates in front of France's Senate, November 5, 2002 where
senators were discussing Interior Minister Nicholas Sarkozy's new bill
on security. If adopted, prostitutes could face prison terms. The move
is an attempt to close a loophole in French law under which
prostitution is legal, obliging them to pay income tax, but the act of
soliciting is illegal. REUTERS/Xavier Lhospice
