Trays are seen in the refectory where German repatriates from Russia have lunch at the border transit camp in the central German village of Friedland June 22, 2007. Primarily established by the British military administration in 1945 as first place of asylum for refugees, displaced persons, returning prisoners of war and ethnic German repatriates after World War Two, 'Lager Friedland' today is the last remaining camp of initial reception for repatriates from the former Soviet Union with a capacity to house 10,000 persons.
