Mollath looks out of a window before the verdict in his retrial at a court in Regensburg
Gustl Mollath looks out of a window before the verdict in his retrial at a court in Regensburg, southern Germany August 14, 2014. Mollath, who was accused of assault, false imprisonment and criminal damage, was granted an acquittal in his 2006 trial after being ruled criminally insane by a Bavarian state court and was sent to a psychiatric hospital for treatment. After spending seven years in the psychiatric ward, the German returned to court on Monday in the retrial to face charges of assaulting and false imprisonment of his then wife, slashing and biting of car tyres.
