Special armored trucks and police cars carrying money, drive on the highway from Berlin to Frankfurt an der Oder, close to the German-Polish border June 18, 2001. The German Federal Reserve Bank Bundesbank will transport in this and similar trucks euro coins and notes through Germany. On 1 January 2002, the 11 countries that make up the European monetary Union will replace their currencies with the euro.
