Former German president Roman Herzog stands behind the flower-covered coffin of his wife Christiane during a funeral service in Dachau near Munich June 23. Christiane Herzog, 63, died of cancer on June 19 in Munich. Well-liked by the German public, she was best known as founder of a national group to help victims of cystic fibrosis and activities in the U.N. Children's Fund.
