Bonn's Lord Mayor Baerbel Dieckman (R) and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder pose in front of the sculpture "Two Large Forms" by British artist Henry Moor in Bonn July 12. Schroeder handed over the sculpture, which is placed in the garden of the Chancellery, in a symbolic ceremony to the people of the former capital Bonn. The German government has begun the long-awaited and intricately planned move from its provisional post-war capital in Bonn to its new home in Berlin. By the end of the summer, Chancellor Schroeder's government, the entire 660-member parliament and 15 federal ministries will have moved from Bonn to Berlin.
