A traffic 'Stop' sign is pictured in front of the plant of the German brand of Swedish appliance maker Electrolux AEG in Nuremberg, December 14, 2005. Electrolux, the world's biggest home appliance maker, said it will close its plant in Nuremberg at the end of 2007 and will take a 2.3 billion-crown ($416.3 million) charge in the fourth quarter. The closure of the plant, which has 1,750 employees and makes washing machines, dryers and dishwashers, will save Electrolux 50 million euros ($59.44 million) a year from 2008, spokesman [Anders Edholm] told Reuters.
