Electrolux, the world's biggest home appliance maker, said it will close its plant in Nuremberg at the end of 2007 and will take a 2.3 billion-crown ($416.3 million) charge in the fourth quarter. The closure of the plant, which has 1,750 employees and makes washing machines, dryers and dishwashers, will save Electrolux 50 million euros ($59.44 million) a year from 2008, spokesman [Anders Edholm] told Reuters.
